Crochet Love Part 2

My obsession continues.......

I have not stopped.....

I am still managing to impress myself (and my family!)

Who would have thought this time last month

that I would be able to make this blanket?

Only problem....

It's too small!

Good job I'm still hooked on crochet.

Crochet Love

Over the last couple of years I have become obsessed with crochet.

I have spent hours gazing longingly at blogs such as

Attic24 and Crochet with Raymond.

But I had no idea how to do it or indeed where to start.

So at the end of June I finally did something about it.....

I signed up for a beginners course at Wibbling Wools in Bury St Edmunds.

Wow! What a great time I had.

Jackie, our teacher, had just the right mix of patience and humour.

And guess what ......

I CAN CROCHET!





When I got home I dug a crochet book

 

 and taught myself how to make a Granny Square.

 

I am sooooo totally HOOKED!

 

Starting Again

I keep wondering why I am so reluctant to write a new post.....

is it because I don't really know how to blog?

am I spending all my computer time gazing longingly at other peoples blogs?

have I forgotten to take new photos?

Well all of the above are excuses I have given myself.

Something I am not short of is time, and I have always got a variety of Works in Progress.

Maybe I fall short as I rarely complete a project!

In the last couple of months I have made one or two promises to myself.

I will complete my WiPs.

I will find out how to do bloggy things.

And on a more personal note, I will loose weight!

My journey starts now.

A little bit of a break

What can I say.....it's been a long time.

Mainly down to this little fellow.

Actually he's growing fast.

Hopefully all the walking will shrink his owner......

but maybe not until after the holiday season!

Holidays Are Coming!

At Last!

Yipee!

No more rushing around in the morning.

No more packed lunches.....it's picnics from now on!

The parent's meetings are over and new schools have been visited.

Ready for a family wedding and a trip to the beach.

Next the caravan needs packing and we are off to France.

I can't wait!

Procrastination!

A word that is plaguing me at the moment! It should really be a swear word.

Productivity.... there's another annoying word.

Why can't I get things done?

What is the secret to motivation ? Is that another of those words?

Answers on a postcard please.

Wind Swept and Wonderful

Why does the weather have to improve beyond belief once you are back from a trip??

Last bank holiday weekend we hitched up our caravan and headed to the North Norfolk Coast for a mini break by the sea.

Three families, three caravans, three dogs!

Freedom for the kids...tearing around, football, kites and swingball.....and drizzle!

A trip to Felbrigg Hall (a beautiful Jacobean house now owned by the National trust) which has the most amazing walled garden.

It made me realise that I am more than a little behind with my little patch!

However NO trips to the beach as rain and stormy winds made it spectacular to look at but impossible to picnic on!!!

BUT

The fun really began as the evening drew to a close. BBQ and wine enjoyed. The winds picked up and all around the camp site rushed to fasten everything down. A sleepless night followed while the winds rocked the caravan and pulled at the awning. The next morning we woke to discover our friends' awning had ripped off in the night and they had been trying to rescue it at two in the morning!

Now we are home the sun is shining and the washing is dry.
